Excessive Engine Oil Use
Whether it is a gasoline or diesel engine, excessive engine oil use is caused by either leaking seals and/or gaskets, or otherwise, the oil is being consumed in the combustion chamber during engine operation. When oil is combusted, excessive carbon particulate matter is produced, forming harmful carbon deposits within the combustion chamber and on associated components. Over time, these encrusted deposits become rock hard, almost cement-like, causing significant problems.
Glazed Cylinders, Stuck Piston Rings
These damaging, baked-on carbon deposits usually can be found as piston ring deposits, cylinder glaze, thick, black engine oil, injector carbon, and in such areas as the cylinder head, piston ring grooves, exhaust valves and ports, turbochargers and exhaust system components. As these deposits persistently increase, the common problems that occur are…
- Excessive engine oil use
- Glazed cylinder bores
- Stuck piston compression rings
- Blocked/stuck oil-control rings
- Black sludgy engine oil
- Turbocharger failure – bearing, vane or seal failure
- and eventually results in excessive wear in crankshaft bearings, rings, cylinder bores and liners, valve stems, camshafts and other critical parts.
Glazed cylinders, stuck compression rings, and blocked/stuck oil-control rings allow engine oil to easily escape past the piston ring-to-cylinder seal and permeate the combustion chamber where it is burned during the combustion process. Needless to say, the more oil that is burned, the more carbon by-products are produced, creating even more destructive deposits, which only magnifies the oil consumption problem! The problem only gets worse.
That’s the bad news…

Reduce or Stop Excessive Engine Oil Use
Here's the good news -
Two remarkably effective products can solve these problems!
FTC Decarbonizer works to safely burn off carbon deposits from anywhere touched by the combustion flame. It is equally effective for either gasoline or diesel engines. It acts as a true combustion catalyst to burn carbon from combustion and exhaust spaces. It will harmlessly remove carbon so hard that it would normally have to be chiselled off at overhaul.
FTC Decarbonizer safely burns off built-up carbon that causes cylinder glaze, as well as combusting hard carbon deposits in the piston ring grooves, freeing up stuck compression rings. This action restores correct piston ring-to-cylinder seal, restoring compression and oil control at these rings. It also de-cokes turbochargers, cleans exhaust valves and ports, reduces combustion particulate matter and noxious exhaust emissions, extends the life of Catalytic Convertors, Diesel Particulate Filters, EGR Valves, and improves fuel efficiency and engine power.
This is a unique chemical, entirely different from standard, off-the-shelf injector cleaners and fuel conditioners. It addresses the root cause of the problem - not just a band-aid approach. Very often, many engines that are disassembled prior to rebuilding are found to be just heavily carbon-fouled, and not worn beyond specifications. These engines, and the high cost and inconvenience of overhaul, could have been saved if FTC Decarbonizer had been introduced. FTC Decarbonizer is highly recommended for all engines, both gasoline and diesel.
Flushing Oil Concentrate is an extremely effective and totally safe-to-use engine oil flush. Containing specialized detergents (not corrosive and abrasive solvents), it is possibly the most effective treatment in removing harmful and performance draining sludge, hard carbon and other contaminants and deposits from oil-wetted engine components. Not only does it restore full cleanliness to the entire crankcase, removing all engine sludge, but it also unblocks obstructed oil-control rings, allowing them to correctly control the oil on the cylinder walls. This corrective action greatly assists in reducing or eliminating excessive engine oil use.
When used as recommended, it safely dissolves carbon and other deposits, and suspends sludge and contaminants within the oil, even engines with decades of heavy sludge build-up. In such a way, sludge, gum, dirt and wear metals are easily removed with the oil change.
