Stiff, notchy gear shifts , engine/gear rattles, gear and diff whines, overheated transmissions and diffs, shuddering hydraulics…?

Depending on the level of technology incorporated in an engine, only 25-40% of the fuel burnt produces usable power. And then, even more is lost through power transmission components, before it reaches the drive wheels. What happens? Where does it go?

Mechanical Efficiency, or how efficiently the heat of combustion is converted to flywheel power, depends on frictional losses within the engine. It is not uncommon to see large diesel engines lose about 25% of power to friction at operating RPM, about half this loss being attributable to friction between piston rings and cylinder walls.

And then, of course there is frictional losses in transmissions and other running gear. Transmissions, differentials, final drives, and torque convertors absorb energy because of the internal friction produced. Combined, these losses are quite large. You can lose 20% of flywheel power through some drive trains.

This Oil Enhancer carries a much higher load than the oil itself is capable of, making every lubricated part more protected, efficient and wear resistant. Manual gear changes become silky smooth, and engines, transmissions, power steering units and diffs run smoother, quieter, and are less stressed, and less likely to fail. Hard working hydraulics, e.g. bobcats, excavators, mining shovels, also dozer final drives, all benefit significantly from AW10 Antiwear. Falex Test: Controlled engineering type tests (to ASTM and other procedures) on 3 different oils confirmed the ability of AW10 Antiwear to increase load carrying capacity between 46% and 470%, before seizure occurred on the test rig. The test rig bearing temperature was reduced by 156°F under stable load conditions. The torque required to drive the test rig was reduced by between 34% and 44% on two engine oils, indicating reduced machine frictional losses and efficiency potential.

Do not add AW10 Antiwear to brake or clutch hydraulic systems.
AW10 Antiwear is not suitable for use with low-pressure wet clutches, e.g. most motorcycle clutches, or wet brake systems.

Choose the most appropriate size AW10 Antiwear for your particular need. Various size options are available –

AW10 Antiwear is added directly to the lubricating oil – engine, transmission (automatic or manual), differential, final drive and hydraulic oils. Do not add to brake or clutch hydraulic systems. AW10 Antiwear is not suitable for wet clutch or wet brake systems.

Treatment rate:

  • Engines: add at 2% of lubricating oil capacity
  • Manual transmissions, differential, final drives: add at 5% of lubricating oil capacity
  • Automatic transmissions & hydraulics: add at 1% of lubricating oil capacity

As a rule of thumb, and depending on the vehicle’s oil capacities, the following is usually helpful in determining which size is most suitable for your application –

  • 8 fl oz & 16 fl oz sizes – Suitable quantities for cars & small to medium SUV’s, small trucks, etc
  • 32 fl oz & 64 fl oz sizes – Suitable quantities for medium trucks, RV’s, 4 Wheel-drives, etc
  • 1 Gallon – Suitable quantity for large trucks & machinery, Fleet & workshops etc

“First off, this business is awesome! There aren’t many companies that thank you with a hand written letter. I have used some of their additives for several years now and I have to say they actually work and make a noticeable difference. Twin Diesel Marine Cummins

“We have a recreational boat with twin 8L Cummins marine engines. They’re 21 years old, but only have 1780 hours total. Over the years we’ve done regular oil changes and maintenance. We thought that was enough, but it seems that was the downfall. The boat sits a lot (obviously) and has a lot of long periods of low speed/low load getting it through the ship canal and locks to get to the ocean. Summer of 2021, one engine started to smoke a bit, and would run on only 5 cylinders for a few minutes after starting. Replaced the injectors hoping that would fix it. It didn’t. Last summer (2022) it got worse – that engine was slow to start, smoked more, and started using a lot of oil. Fall of 2022, we took the boat out after servicing for a short run. It began to knock and bang HORRIBLY, so we limped home. Tested compression, the Starboard engine #1 cylinder had 0 compression. At tear down, it was blatantly obvious that the rings had carboned up and broken, then the piston slapped around and broke, destroying the piston and liner. With only 1780 hours!
We in-framed that engine, and to preserve the port engine which was smoking and getting harder to start, we have used Flushing Oil Concentrate, and are using FTC Decarbonizer and ULS Diesel Enhancer in the fuel tanks, and AW10 Antiwear in the old port engine. Results so far – the engine oil in the port engine remains very clean after the flush, the starboard/rebuilt engine will get a flush after it has bedded in. After adding the FTC Decarbonizer to the fuel, I noticed RPM picked up immediately and the engines idled more smoothly. Last Friday (before fuel treatment), the Starboard engine (just rebuilt) turned 2515 RPM WOT and the Port turned 2435 RPM WOT. Today, after adding the diesel treatment, both engines turned 2530- so we are picking up a few horsepower for sure! I’m sure the AW10 is helping with that also! With these engines, gaining 100 RPM is not insignificant. I can’t wait to see further improvement with a little more time.”

Incredible improvement

I got the AW10 Antiwear for my old Jeep Wrangler. It’s old but in great shape. I’ve driven it across the country and back, I take it off road a lot, and I take really good care of it, but I’ve noticed over time the gear changes getting worse – slower and erratic erratic at times. I replaced the fluid, but that didn’t help. It’s then that I added the Antiwear to it, and immediately it improved incredibly! Gear shifts were like brand new, so smooth and quiet. 2019 Dodge Ram problems resolved

I got FTC Decarbonizer and AW10 Antiwear for my 2019 Ram 3500 Cummins 6.7 with a 6-speed Aisin transmission. I tow a fifth-wheel trailer hauling 40-foot shipping containers from site to site, anywhere from Utah to Colorado and every place in between. The main problems were it would blow white exhaust smoke for a while on cold morning starts and was noticeably getting low on power. The other problem was it would slam hard down into 4th gear from 5th. After using the Decarbonizer in the fuel, pretty soon the white exhaust smoke completely stopped, and I noticed a lift in power, especially through the mountains. And the 4th gear slam also stopped with the AW10 in the transmission.
