Upgrade from SCA Coolant Filters

Failure is avoidable

More than half of engine downtime is due to cooling system failure. The most annoying part of that is that most cooling system failure is avoidable. Today’s modern diesel engines produce significantly more heat than in the past. Consequently, diesel engine cooling system care has become much more critical than before.

Coolant filters play an important role in the maintenance of heavy-duty diesel-engine trucks and heavy equipment. Coolant filters protect the engine by trapping contaminants in the engine’s cooling system. Engine by-products, liner movement, and the wear and tear of starting and stopping the engine all add to the contaminants that coolant filters extract from the liquid coolant.

Pre-charged Coolant filters

There are many coolant filters on the market that have Supplemental Coolant Additives (SCAs) built into the filter. These filters are called Pre-charged Filters, or simply, SCA Filters. Usually, they are available with varying levels of SCA concentration, depending on the results of special tests to determine the amount of SCA needed. Costs vary considerably between the different filter types. All of this is often very frustrating and distressing trying to guess the correct SCA Coolant Filter for the engine, all with the fear of getting it wrong and suffering the costly consequences.

Make it simple

One of the advantages of using RMI-25 Cooling System Treatment is that it is so simple and easy to use. For diesel trucks and large equipment that incorporate coolant filters, RMI-25 takes the guesswork out of doing it right, or in other words “which pre-charged filter do I use?!”

RMI-25 Cooling System Treatment 64 fl ozThe answer is “none of them!” With RMI-25, you have everything you need in the product itself. During your normal service interval, which should be every 15,000 miles or 300 hours, whichever comes first, simply replace the SCA coolant filter with a new, uncharged filter (non-chemical “blank”) and add the proper amount (8 fl oz per 5 gallons of coolant capacity) of RMI-25 to replace any additives which have degraded over time.

RMI-25 is trouble-free and comes with benefits

If you prefer to test the system for pH, you can do so with pH test strips; if the reading is acidic, you will need to add more RMI-25 to the system.* You should ideally maintain an 8.2 to a 10.0 reading, which is in the neutral range. You cannot over-treat RMI-25, so there is no danger of creating damage to the system the way other SCAs on the market can – think of the problems ‘additive drop-out’ causes! Once you have performed this procedure and have incorporated it into your maintenance program, you are protected for the next 15,000 miles/300 hours of service. In addition, you get the extra protection of keeping the entire system clean; something no other product that we know of does! Using RMI-25 is so incredibly simple – just “pour it in and drive away!”

Reduce Coolant Filter Costs by 75% – 80%:

  • RMI-25 Cooling System Treatment Large heavy duty dieselBY KEEPING YOUR SYSTEM CLEAN, RMI-25 GIVES YOU LONGER COOLANT FILTER LIFE.
  • BY UTILIZING RMI-25 ON LARGE EQUIPMENT, YOU SAVE MONEY BY ONLY NEEDING TO USE SIGNIFICANTLY LESS-EXPENSIVE ‘BLANK’ COOLANT FILTERS.

Don’t forget RMI-25 Cooling System Treatment has ALL THESE ADDITIONAL BENEFITS –

EIGHT PRODUCTS IN ONE:

  • CLEANER/DESCALER/EMULSIFIER
  • INHIBITOR
  • LUBRICATOR
  • CONDITIONER
  • STABILIZER
  • WATER WETTER SURFACTANT
  • OXYGEN SCAVENGER
  • LEAK DETECTOR (BLACK LIGHT) DYE

*If using Antifreeze in the cooling system, it is recommended to keep an eye on the ‘freeze point’ condition of the Antifreeze if adding additional RMI-25 to the cooling system over time. If freeze point is affected, simply drain some coolant from the cooling system and add sufficient Antifreeze to bring the freeze point into specifications.
